Sheffield's Radio Hallam started broadcasting on 30 Sep 1974. Although I was offered a job there during that summer by Keith Skues, I took a "better offer" from the BBC to become a Radio 1 & 2 newsreader and announcer. I did, however, finally end up at 'The New Hallam FM' in 1993 and stayed there (and at sister station Magic AM) until 1998. More about my time at Hallam FM here.
