Piccadilly Radio 261 began broadcasting pop music and news to Greater Manchester at 5am on Tuesday 2 April 1974. I was (a very minor) part of the original line-up in April 1974, and returned briefly in 1977. There are loads of pictures, some of them in black & white (it really WAS that long ago!) There's also some audio of early promos and airchecks.
