Rock FM began broadcasting music and news to Lancashire in the summer of 1990, as the FM half of Red Rose Radio (AM became Red Rose Gold - well, didn't they all!). I was a major part of its weekend line-up for over two years, leaving to join Sheffield's Hallam FM in early 1993. Apart from daytime shows, I also started a Sunday evening album show in 1992-3, called 'Q-Rock'. Well, at least it WAS rock! A sample is included here.
