Besides jocking, my broadcasting career has encompassed news and talk programming at both BBC and European stations.

During the early 1970s, I became the youngest-ever Staff Announcer and newsreader for BBC Radios 1 & 2 (also DJ-ing twice a week on the Saturday 'Early Show' & 'Music Through Midnight').

During the early 1990s, it was BBC Radio WM's afternmoon news-drive show, which was part of the station's massive 10-fold audience increase under the management of the late, great Tony Inchley.

I was also a regular visitor to Vienna's Blue Danube Radio, run by the Austrian state broadcaster, ORF. Here I specialised in presenting news - particularly their marathon non-stop 90-minute news review 'Evening News Round-up'.

Examples of all three are here.
